Our Services

Waterway Ecologics™ provides customizable, nature-based approaches for capturing and treating stormwater and septic discharges, and for solving your drainage issues, thereby reducing environmental impact. After a consultation and detailed site evaluation, our team will work with you to custom-design a system that works best for your needs, including, if applicable, solutions that implement our patented hybrid green eco-WEIR™ technology.

Our eco-WEIR™ systems can be integrated into and enhance public spaces.

Our eco-WEIR™ technology utilizes a smart-sensor pipe and valve combination, integrating grey and green infrastructure into one low-impact modular sealed system. This provides timed control of inflow water retention and creates and maintains optimal soil conditions to give nature a needed boost for maximal and consistent removal (especially nitrogen and phosphorous). After capture and treatment, the clean water can be released to the environment, stored within the system just below the plant root zone (thus reducing the need for irrigation), or can be harvested for fit-for-purpose reuse.

Our laboratory and field testing has demonstrated significant and consistent nitrogen and phosphorus removal efficiencies with 88% N and 100% P removal observed for urban stormwater runoff after 24 hours of treatment, and 97% N and 99% P removal observed for septic effluent after 72 hours of treatment.

eco-WEIR systems can be:

  • Sized to accommodate various drainage inflow volumes

  • Installed above ground (i.e. green or blue roofs) or below ground with either pervious hardscape, vegetated landscape or a combination of both

We engineer elegant, cost-effective solutions for green infrastructure practices that address both present and future water management needs. By blending the ingenuity of nature-based solutions with green infrastructure eco-WEIR™ technology, we can bring your municipality, business or home to the forefront of water resource sustainability.
